I have still not missed one day of doing art since the new year. Not all of it has been documented. Some days I drew pictures for friends and other days I would work on my costume. Anyway, I was going to go to bed at 1am, but for some reason I was compelled to write. Three hours and 2100 words later and I feel like I have just touched the surface. It’s not really a story, but more about how confusing life can be. Maybe if I can stretch it out into enough pages I will try to get it published. Either way, more art pictures soon. I have too many ideas cooking right now and not enough time to accomplish everything I want.

Week 3

So this makes me laugh. I wasn’t in the mood to draw the other night but I attempted to draw Mega Man. Well it shows that I didn’t want to draw because not only were the proportions horrible, but I gave up and started to give him legs like Chun-Li. Today I went back and used a Mega Man toy as a model. I’m much happier with it and I think I might add a background and color to him throughout the week. I may enter him in a Mega Man fan art/comic art contest.

I found an article from an old Sooner Magazine back in 2010 online that my instructor, Carol Beesley, was featured in. I remember her wanting to have me in some pictures and featured as a diligent student. Good ol’ days.

Tonight I went to the Jedi OKC meeting to donate the 11 Boba Fett prints to raise money for charity (Thanks again to my roommate who has pushed me and did most of the work to get this going and also the artist Christian Waggoner to whom created the original piece that I attempted to recreate). 5 of them sold immediately and I got a lot of compliments.

Later when I got home, I checked my email to see that my art has been published on the blog. http://www.artfulvagabond.com/good-advice-for-emerging-artists-day-221/ I am pretty stoked right now. It has been a great week for me.
